COMPARISON
The best AI for TikTok, sorted by what you are stuck on
There is no single best tool, because creators stop at five different points. Buying for the wrong one is how three subscriptions end up on a card.
We make Write Shorts, which appears in the scripts section below alongside its competitors. Everything else here is someone else's product and we earn nothing from any of it.

SIDE BY SIDE
What each one is actually for
Sorted by the job, because a caption tool and a script tool are not competing.
CapCut
Free tier + paid
Editing, auto-captions, templates.
The free tier covers most of it. Does nothing about what you say.
Submagic
Paid
Animated captions with a particular look.
Captions only. Worth a monthly fee if your niche expects that style.
Opus Clip
Free tier + paid
Finds the clippable moments in long footage and cuts them.
No use at all if you do not already film long.
ElevenLabs
Free tier + paid
AI voice for faceless videos.
Stops setting you apart the moment everyone in your niche uses it.
Transcript24
Free tier
Pulls the spoken words out of a pasted video link.
Gives you their words with no structure attached, which is the part you wanted.
ChatGPT / Claude
Free tier + paid
Writes a script from a topic you describe.
Fluent and generic. A topic tells a model your subject, never the shape.
Write Shorts
$24.99/mo
Writes a script from a link to a video that already performed, in that video's structure, about your subject.
No free tier and no trial. Writes words, not video. Cannot promise anything performs.
Ours
Prices checked October 2026 and set by their owners, so confirm on their own pages before you buy anything.
Most lists of the best AI for TikTok rank tools against each other as though they all do the same job. They do not. A caption tool and a script tool are not competing — they solve different problems, and buying the wrong one is how people end up paying for three subscriptions and still being stuck.
So this is sorted by where you actually stop. Find the line that describes your week, and read only that section.
Stuck on editing and captions
If filming is fine and the edit takes you three hours, this is where your money goes first. CapCut remains the default and the free tier does most of it — auto-captions, beat-matched cuts, templates built from videos that are already running. Submagic and Opus Clip sit above it, aimed at people cutting long footage down into shorts automatically.
Be honest about whether this is your bottleneck. Editing tools are the most fun to buy and the least likely to change your numbers if the problem is what you are saying rather than how it is cut.
Stuck on voice
ElevenLabs is the one most faceless channels settle on, and TikTok's own built-in voices are free and instantly recognisable as TikTok voices — which is either the point or the problem depending on your niche.
Stuck pulling the words out of a video
If you want to study what a video actually said, you want a transcript, not a script generator. Transcript24 and several Chrome extensions do this: paste a link, get the spoken words as text. TikTok's own auto-captions are free and roughly 85–90% accurate on clear speech.
Stuck on what to say
This is the expensive one, because it is where most people are stuck and the fewest tools genuinely help.
ChatGPT and Claude will write you a script from a topic for free. The output is fluent and it is generic, for a reason worth understanding: a topic tells a model what your video is about and nothing about how it should be built. If that is good enough, use them and save your money.
Write Shorts — ours — works the other way round. You paste a TikTok from your niche that already performed, it works out the structure that held viewers, and writes your version in that shape. It costs $24.99 a month or $149 a year and there is no free tier. It does not make video, and it does not promise anything goes viral. The longer argument is on the AI script generator page.
Stuck on ideas
No tool solves this well, and the ones that claim to mostly hand you a list of topics you will have exhausted inside a week. The more durable fix is to stop hunting topics and start reusing formats — which is a habit rather than a purchase, and it is written up in content ideas for TikTok.
What none of them do
- None of them make a video go viral. Anyone claiming otherwise is selling something.
- None of them know your audience. You do, and that is still the edge.
- None of them replace posting consistently. The tools shorten the work; they do not remove it.
If you buy one thing, buy the one that unblocks the step you actually stop at. Most people buy an editing tool when the script is the problem, because editing feels like the work and writing feels like it should be free.
THREE STEPS
Link in. Script out. About a minute.
- 01
Paste the video
Any TikTok, Reel or Short that's working in your niche, up to three minutes long. No topic to type — you pasted from your own feed, so the subject is already right.
- 02
It pulls the video apart
What held people, where the turn lands, what she left out. Then your version writes itself out in front of you — same shape, your subject, hook to close.
- 03
Copy it and film
One tap. It's in your notes. Go shoot.
PRICING
2,000 credits a month, if the script is your bottleneck.
BEST VALUE
ANNUAL
Works out at $12.42 a month
Saves you$151 a year
Cancel whenever
BOTH PLANS INCLUDE
- A whole script every time — hook, middle, ending
- Any Reel, TikTok or Short, pulled apart and rebuilt
- Up to four versions of one video, not one
- 2,000 credits a month — about 200 scripts
Cancel any time from your account. Cheaper than ChatGPT Plus — and it doesn't sound like ChatGPT.
QUESTIONS
What people ask about AI tools for TikTok
CapCut for editing and captions, TikTok's own voices, and ChatGPT or Claude for topic-based scripts. All free, all genuinely usable.
No. Tools can improve a script's structure and cut your editing time. Reach depends on the audience, the subject and timing, none of which a tool controls.
Most people need one, for whichever step they actually stop at. Three subscriptions covering three different steps is usually a sign of buying before diagnosing.
If the script is the part you are stuck on
