Refund Policy
The short version: I don’t offer refunds, and you can cancel any time without asking anyone. Those two things go together — the second is what makes the first fair.
Cancelling
Cancel whenever you like — no reason needed and nobody to persuade. Right now that means emailing support@writeshorts.comand I’ll do it the same day. A one-click cancel from your own account is being built and will replace this.
Cancelling does not cut you off.It stops the next payment. You keep generating scripts until the period you already paid for runs out — if you cancel on day 2 of a month, you have 28 days left and they’re yours.
Refunds
When you buy a plan you’re buying that period. Cancelling stops the next payment rather than returning the last one.
I’d rather say that here than let you discover it later. It’s the honest position for a product run by one person: I can’t fund goodwill refunds and keep the price where it is.
If you’re unsure whether this is for you, start on the monthly plan— $24.99 is the cheapest way to find out, and the annual price isn’t going anywhere.
If you’re in the UK or EU
You have a statutory 14-day right to cancel a digital purchase. That right is yours regardless of anything above.
It can be given up — but only by you, knowingly, at checkout, by agreeing to immediate access and acknowledging what you’re waiving. That choice is presented during payment, not here, and it’s handled by the payment provider rather than by me.
Who actually takes your money
Payments are handled by a merchant of record, which means they are the legal seller of the subscription, not me. They charge your card, they issue the receipt, and their buyer terms apply to the transaction alongside this page.
In practice that means they can approve a refund on a purchase this page describes as non-refundable, at their discretion. I’m telling you that rather than implying a control I don’t have.
Things that are never charged for
- A script that fails to generate.That’s mine, not yours, and it doesn’t count against anything.
- Your free script. No card is involved at any point.
- Time you paid for and lost to me closing your account. If I close it under the terms, the unused part comes back.
- A price rise on an annual plan. Your price is locked for as long as you keep the plan running.
